Chard Leaf Wraps with Creamy Hummus

A quick, no-cook wrap using a rainbow chard leaf as the base, filled with garlicky hummus and fresh veggies. Perfect for a light lunch or snack on the go.

This wrap is all about simplicity and fresh flavors. A single large chard leaf becomes the perfect edible wrapper for creamy hummus and crunchy vegetables.

It comes together in minutes and needs no cooking, making it a great choice for a packed lunch or a healthy snack. Feel free to use any veggies you have on hand.

Converted amounts are rounded.

Method

  1. Rinse the chard leaf under cold water and pat it dry. Cut off the stem, then shave the thickest part of the stem base so the leaf rolls up easily.
  2. Spread the hummus in the center of the leaf, leaving a small border around the edges.
  3. Add your choice of veggie toppings over the hummus.
  4. Fold the sides of the leaf over the filling, then roll it up tightly from the bottom. Secure with toothpicks or wrap in parchment paper if taking on the go.

💡 Tips

  • For a sturdier wrap, use a large, unblemished chard leaf.
  • If the hummus is very thick, thin it with a little lemon juice or water for easier spreading.
  • Add a pinch of salt and pepper to the veggies for extra flavor.
