New Orleans Bloody Snake Bite Cocktail

A tangy and potent cocktail combining Southern Comfort, cranberry juice, and lime juice, inspired by a bar on Bourbon Street.

I first tried this cocktail in a bar on Bourbon Street in 2005. My friends and I had wanted to try a "local" drink and this is what the bartender served us--the potent and tangy combination of lime juice, Southern Comfort and cranberry juice.

Ever since then I'll whip one up at home when I'm in a New Orleans kind of mood.

Ingredients

Servings 1

Converted amounts are rounded.

Method

  1. In a glass (highball would be ideal, but work with what you have), add a few ice cubes.
  2. Pour in the Southern Comfort.
  3. Add the cranberry juice, as well as a few splashes of Rose's Lime Juice.
  4. Garnish with a lime wedge.
  5. Enjoy the taste of New Orleans!

💡 Tips

  • For a stronger lime flavor, add an extra splash of Rose's Lime Juice.
  • Use fresh lime juice if you don't have Rose's, but the taste will be slightly different.
  • Serve immediately while still cold.
