Ingredients
Converted amounts are rounded.
Method
- In a large pot over high heat, add the ground beef along with 1/2 tsp of salt and 1/4 tsp of black pepper. Cook, breaking it up with a wooden spoon, until browned and no longer pink.
- Add the 2 cans of undrained diced tomatoes and stir, scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the pot.
- Add the 4 cans of undrained chili beans and the remaining seasonings (1 tbsp chili powder, remaining 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and optional red pepper flakes). Stir well.
- Bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, it is ready to serve immediately.
💡 Tips
- For a thicker chili, let it simmer for an additional 10-15 minutes after boiling.
- Serve with shredded cheese, sour cream, or fresh cilantro on top.
- This chili freezes well for up to 3 months.
