Ingredients
Converted amounts are rounded.
Method
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together the minced garlic, minced ginger, olive oil, soy sauce, chili sauce, brown sugar, red chili flakes and sriracha until well combined.
- Season the salmon fillets with salt, pepper and paprika. Add the fillets to the marinade, turning each to coat evenly.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight if time allows.
- Preheat the oven to 370°F. Heat an ovenproof skillet over medium heat with a drizzle of oil.
- Sear the salmon fillets for 2–3 minutes per side, without moving them, to develop a golden crust. Work in batches if needed, then transfer to a plate.
- Return all the seared fillets to the skillet (or transfer to a baking dish). Bake for 8–10 minutes, until cooked to your liking. Serve warm, sprinkled with chopped chives.
💡 Tips
- For extra heat, add more sriracha or a dash of cayenne pepper to the marinade.
- If you don't have an ovenproof skillet, sear the salmon in a regular pan and then transfer to a baking dish.
- Let the salmon rest for a couple of minutes after baking for juicier results.
