This fudge is a lifesaver when you need a sweet fix without much effort. It's creamy, rich, and comes together in minutes, then chills in the fridge until firm.
You can use any smooth nut or seed butter you like—peanut, cashew, or sunflower seed butter all work beautifully. The maple syrup adds just the right amount of sweetness, making this a healthier treat that everyone can enjoy.
Ingredients
Converted amounts are rounded.
Method
- Set up a double boiler: fill a small pot with a couple of inches of water and bring to a simmer. Place a heatproof bowl over the pot, making sure the bottom doesn't touch the water.
- Add the chocolate chips, sunflower seed butter (or other nut butter), and maple syrup to the bowl.
- Stir continuously with a spatula until the mixture is completely melted and smooth.
- Line a 9x5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
- Pour the thick chocolate mixture into the prepared pan and spread it evenly with a spatula.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, until the fudge is firm and set.
- Once chilled, lift the fudge out using the parchment paper and slice it into squares.
- Serve immediately, or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. For longer storage, freeze for several months.
💡 Tips
- For a firmer fudge, chill for 2 hours instead of 1.
- If the mixture seems too thick, add an extra tablespoon of maple syrup.
- Use a sharp knife dipped in hot water for clean slices.
