This cocktail is a twist on the classic whiskey sour, sweetened with maple syrup instead of simple syrup. The optional pinch of cinnamon adds a warm, aromatic note that pairs beautifully with the bourbon.
It comes together in just five minutes and can easily be scaled up for a crowd. Shake it well with ice, strain, and enjoy immediately.
Ingredients
Converted amounts are rounded.
Method
- Fill a cocktail shaker or a mason jar about two-thirds full with ice. Add the bourbon, fresh lemon juice, maple syrup, and a pinch of ground cinnamon (if using).
- Secure the lid tightly and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
- Fill a rocks glass or your serving glass with fresh ice. Strain the shaken mixture into the glass.
- Serve immediately and enjoy.
💡 Tips
- For a larger batch, multiply the ingredients by up to four and shake in batches or use a larger shaker.
- Adjust the maple syrup to your preferred sweetness—start with 2 teaspoons and add more if desired.
- If you don't have a cocktail shaker, a mason jar with a tight lid works perfectly.
