This grilled salmon recipe is all about simplicity and flavor. A quick marinade of honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and Dijon mustard creates a perfect balance of sweet and tangy, while the skin keeps the fillets intact on the grill.
Cooked over medium-high heat for just a few minutes per side, the salmon comes out tender and flaky, with a beautiful char. Serve with lemon wedges and fresh parsley for a light, healthy main course that's ready in under 20 minutes.

Method
- In a large bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Add the salmon fillets to the bowl and turn them a couple of times to coat with the marinade. Cover the bowl and let them marinate at room temperature for 20 minutes.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F). Lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
- Place the fillets skin-side down on the grill and cook for 4–5 minutes. Carefully flip them and cook for another 3–4 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork. If using an instant-read thermometer, the internal temperature should reach 145°F.
- Remove from the grill and serve immediately, garnished with lemon wedges and fresh parsley.
💡 Tips
- For best results, let the salmon come to room temperature before grilling.
- Don't overcook; salmon is done when it just starts to flake.
- If you don't have a grill, you can cook the salmon in a grill pan over medium-high heat.
