This naan pizza is the ultimate shortcut to homemade pizza. You get a perfectly crisp crust with a soft, chewy center, all topped with your favorite ingredients.
Simply toast the naan directly on the oven rack, then add sauce, cheese, and toppings, and bake until melted. It's endlessly customizable and ready in a flash.
Ingredients
Converted amounts are rounded.
Method
- Place a rack in the upper third of the oven (about 6 inches from the top). Preheat the oven to 450°F.
- Carefully place the naan directly on the oven grate. Bake on the first side for 2 minutes, then flip and bake 3 more minutes on the other side.
- Transfer the naan to a parchment-lined baking sheet, with the bubbly side facing up. Spread pizza sauce (a thin layer) and sprinkle with Italian seasoning if using.
- Scatter the mozzarella over the sauce.
- Add any desired toppings (pepperoni, mushrooms, etc.) and sprinkle with Parmesan.
- Return the pizza to the oven and bake until the cheese melts, about 3 minutes. Remove from the oven, sprinkle lightly with salt and red pepper flakes, and tear fresh basil leaves over the top. Serve immediately.
💡 Tips
- For extra crispiness, bake the naan directly on the oven rack as directed.
- If using fresh mozzarella, pat it dry with paper towels before adding to avoid a soggy pizza.
- Add delicate toppings like arugula and prosciutto after baking to keep them fresh.
