Ingredients
Converted amounts are rounded.
Method
- Preheat the oven to 250°F. Lightly spray a baking sheet with nonstick spray, line with parchment paper, then spray the parchment again. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the honey squares cereal, wheat cereal, pretzels, cashews, pecans, almonds, and peanuts.
- In a separate bowl, beat the egg white until foamy. Stir in the maple syrup, cinnamon, chipotle powder, chili powder, salt, cumin, and cayenne until smooth.
- Pour the spiced egg white mixture over the cereal and nut mixture. Toss well to coat everything evenly.
- Spread the mixture in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes, until the mix is dry to the touch.
- Remove from the oven and let the pan cool completely on a wire rack. The mix will crisp up as it cools.
💡 Tips
- For extra crunch, let the mix cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
- Adjust the cayenne to your spice preference—use less for mild, more for extra heat.
- This mix keeps well for up to 2 weeks in a sealed container.
