This Easter cocktail is all about fun and flavor—a festive twist on a classic martini that’s as sweet as it is playful. The rim gets a coating of vanilla frosting and shredded coconut, while the drink itself is a simple blend of vodka, ruby red grapefruit juice, and white grape juice.
The real showstopper is the cotton candy tail: a fluffy pink ball perched on the glass that slowly dissolves into the cocktail, adding a hint of sweetness and a whimsical touch. Perfect for spring celebrations or Easter brunch.
Ingredients
Converted amounts are rounded.
Method
- Spread vanilla frosting on the rim of a coupe or martini glass. Roll about three-quarters of the frosted rim in shredded coconut, leaving a small 2-inch (5 cm) bare section exposed.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine vodka, grapefruit juice, and white grape juice. Fill the shaker with ice, cover, and shake vigorously until the outside is very frosty, about 20 seconds.
- Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass. Gently shape the cotton candy into a small ball about 2 to 3 inches (5–7.5 cm) across for the tail. Press it onto the exposed frosting. Drop a small handful of cotton candy into the drink and watch it dissolve.
💡 Tips
- Chill your glass beforehand for a frostier look.
- If you can't find pink cotton candy, use white and add a drop of pink food coloring before shaping.
- For extra coconut flavor, use coconut-flavored vodka.
