Method
- Prepare the fruit: thinly slice the green apple and pear using a knife or mandoline. Combine the white wine, sparkling apple cider, fresh cranberries, apple slices, and pear slices in a large pitcher. You can layer the ingredients or simply mix them together.
- Chill the sangria: cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to fully develop and meld.
- Serve the sangria: pour the chilled sangria into individual glasses filled with ice.
- Top off and garnish: add a splash of extra sparkling apple cider to each glass. Garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs and star anise before serving.
💡 Tips
- For a stronger flavor, you can let the sangria macerate for up to 2 days in the refrigerator.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding a touch of simple syrup if desired, though the apple cider usually provides enough.
